Model C: model B with additional adjustment for physical activity index and body mass index. Model D: model B with additional adjustment for diabetes mellitus, systolic blood pressure, smoking, atrial fibrillation, prevalent cardiovascular disease, and total cholesterol. Higher white matter hyperintensity and temporal horn volumes and lower total brain volume are correlated with the presence of vascular risk factors.
