(a) The investigated subjects were divided in three groups to be compared on the basis of diet regimen: ASDs children on a regular diet (AU RD) or on GF/CF diet (AU GF/CF) and healthy children (HC RD); AGA-IgG were increased in ASDs versus healthy children (*P < 0.005, Kruskal Wallis test, Dunn's multiple comparison test). (b) The investigated subjects were divided in four groups to be compared on the basis of normal/altered intestinal permeability: ASDs children with normal (AU normal) or altered (AU altered) LA/MA values and healthy children with normal (HC normal) or altered LA/MA values (HC altered); AGA IgG titers in ASDs were increased irrespective of intestinal permeability (*P = 0.0018, Mann Whitney test).
