In the columns titled by area, the time period of cumulation of the FG/T ratio is first indicated, followed by the numbers of FG and T neurons examined (bolded). Between the parentheses are indicated, respectively, the number of sections examined and the corresponding number of animals. Columns 4 and 7 indicate the results of a χ2 analysis comparing the FG/T cumulated proportions up to E14.5 between areas 6 and 3 (column 4) and areas 17 and 18a (column 7). In each case, the χ2 value is provided followed by the level of significance (between parentheses). No χ2 value is indicated when ratios of cumulated FG/T in both areas equal zero on E14.5. n.s., Not significant.
