Risk of bias |
Bias |
Authors' judgement |
Support for judgement |
Random sequence generation (selection bias) |
Unclear risk |
"randomly assigned" but method of sequence generation not described |
Allocation concealment (selection bias) |
Unclear risk |
"having a research assistant draw a sealed envelope containing group assignment", envelope not described as 'opaque' |
Blinding of outcome assessment (detection bias)
All outcomes |
High risk |
Blinding not done |
Incomplete outcome data (attrition bias)
All outcomes |
Unclear risk |
Not all participants accounted for and not clear whether intention‐to‐treat analysis was undertaken |
Selective reporting (reporting bias) |
Low risk |
Fatigue outcome reported |
